Security Model In Salesforce: Overview


There majorly 2 types of security Levels:
  1. Login/Organization access security
  2. Data Security

Login/Organization access security: This includes Two factor authentication,Login Ip ranges, Login hours etc. So whenever you will try to login inside SFDC using an Unidentified network you will require a Two factor authentication.

Data Security: SFDC provides you various levels of data security. Data security can further divided into 3 parts:

  1. Object/Profile Level security
  2. Record Level Security
  3. Field Level Security

Object/Profile Level security includes Profiles and permission sets and Record Level Security includes roles, role hierarchy, OWD settings, sharing rules and manual sharing of records.
